Offering 2-week delivery for standard burr-free metal cutting service
Time is on everyone’s mind — but never seems to be on anyone’s side — whenever customers are looking for metal cutting service. So, “When will I receive my order?” is the question we get most often, from virtually every customer we have and on every inquiry we receive.
The good news is that, thanks to ongoing investment in enhancing our operations, Metal Cutting Corporation is now down to 2-week delivery on our standard metal cutting service. We have been working on this for a while, and by making significant investments and process improvements, we are now able to do our burr-free cutting and part corner (edge) radiusing within a 2-week delivery window after receipt of material.
And our even better news is that we don’t plan to stop there — in fact, we are already working to be able to offer 1-week turnaround on metal cutting service for tubes and rods.
Faster Turnaround on Other Metal Cutting Service Is Also in the Works
For those of you who follow our progress, you probably know that our EDM cutting capabilities are already able to offer 1-week metal cutting service on the small diameter wires for which the EDM process is optimal. However, bringing that same turnaround speed to our multi-step tube and larger rod diameter cutting method has been a challenge. But who doesn’t like a challenge?
We still don’t use chemistry, with all of its complications, to achieve our results. Instead, we have made capacity investments throughout our operations — basically, expanding important departments at key junctures in our manufacturing sequence — to unleash our huge metal cutting service capacity. Truth be told, our cutting capacity is so large that we have yet to have a customer require more quantity than we can produce.
Our next step is to bring production delivery times down to 1-week turnaround. We have already made some exciting progress toward achieve this next milestone, and we will let you know as soon as we have achieved our next goal in metal cutting service.
