Burr Free Cutting Capabilities
Our combination of abrasive cutting techniques, tools, equipment and know-how enable us to produce accurate and repeatable results, whatever a customer’s specifications and dimensional requirements may be. We routinely achieve lengths as short as 0.008” (0.20 mm) and length tolerances down to 0.001” (0.025 mm), and hold exceptionally tight tolerances of ± 0.005” (±0.125 mm) on length cuts over 6.0’ (2.0 m). Able to cut diameters ranging from 0.0005” to 3.00” (0.0125-75.0 mm), we can also work with tubing of any ID and can cut tube walls as thin as 0.001” (0.025 mm) without deformation.
Our proprietary cutting wheel technology prevents wheel loading and also produces a small kerf. Even when cutting extremely hard materials, our methods produce superior “as cut” surface finishes compared with other cutting methods.
For small diameters and a large number of parts, our burr free cutting methods allow us to bundle materials for maximum process efficiency and cost effectiveness. Our process can cut dielectric materials, enabling composites and coated metals to be cut without any compromise or limitations. For tubing, our cutting process allows the use of mandrels for supported tube cutting. We are also able to spin the tubes and only cut the walls of the spinning tubing, yielding exceptional squareness; in addition, our pressurized material handling eliminates contamination of the tubing ID.
